Smart shortcuts to help you learn what you want to learn and become who you want to be. Faster.
Are you tired of wishy-washy, padded out with ‘inspirational fluff’ self-help advice on achieving your goals and becoming who you want to be?
Disappointed with the results of all those ‘super-learning-train-your-brain’ methods that didn’t deliver on the promise?
Too busy to wade through lengthy articles and books on speeding up learning, increasing productivity, ‘brain hacking’ etc.?
So am I.
I’m on a career-changing, reinvent-yourself journey. I’ve done the thinking part of it and I know where I want to go, what I want to achieve, how to get there, but I don’t have much time to spare. For a variety of reasons I can’t quite afford to waste any more time.
Does it sound familiar to you?
Some say you need 10,000 hours to achieve mastery in a field. That’s about 5 years of 40-hrs working weeks. But I have a full time job that takes up already 40hrs/week of my time, and I definitely don’t want to wait 5 years to ‘shapeshift’. Besides, apparently it’s not enough just to spend time doing stuff.
I need proven methods, practical tips & tricks, applicable advice that will help me get where I want to go quicker.
Do you, too?
So I will explore neuroscience, cognitive psychology, behavioural economics, gamification, various learning theories and practices, technological aids, etc., looking for those (hidden and obvious) treasures. I will try grit, deliberate practice, focus, chunking, spaced repetition, or whatever really works. I mean really works – scientifically proven.
I will share my learning and experience with you.
I promise it will be easy-to-read, (subtly) referenced, with clear headings, actionable advice with no padding. Short and to-the-relevant-point. Helping you to become who you want to be.
If I may use a metaphor: you are the canvas, you have the paints and brushes – your talents, your skills, your dreams and the picture in your head. Shapeshifters Club gives you an easel to support your creative act and re-invent yourself faster.
