Hi, I’m Joanna Jast, the founder of ShapeShifters.

I created ShapeShifters Club to help people interested in personal development and self-improvement, but, like me, tired of wishy-washy, padded self-help guides, heavy on marketing and light on evidence.

I have been on a journey to change careers (from healthcare to edutech) for a couple of years, trying to expedite the process of acquiring new knowledge and skills, building credibility and track record – with various results, but always learning from my experience. This is the place where I want to share with you my own experience and shortcuts, as well as up-to-date knowledge, tips and tricks backed by science.

I am interested in neuroscience, cognitive psychologyadult education and how technology can help with these. An achievement junkie, juggling a full time job, family commitments, entrepreneurial projects and continuously learning, I have limited time and energy to spare – just like you.

I promise to use my built-in bullshit detector, short attention span and aversion to large, unbroken chunks of text to help you accelerate your learning and personal change.

You will find here:
– practical, actionable tips
– easy-to-read and understand information on the science behind the presented approaches
– links to interesting and valuable resources
– reviews and suggestions for readings/books, apps, courses and other helpful tools. You will not find here

– inspirational quotes and other ‘inspirational-motivational’ mumbo-jumbo
– magic formulas to change your life overnight
– pseudoscientific ‘superlearning’ advice
– anything that takes longer than 20 minutes to read or listen to
– hard selling and heavy self-promotion.

I hope you find ShapeShifters Club useful.
Please, feel free to explore the content provided and let me know what else I can do to help.
